Tim Miller Endorsed by Representative Steve Drazkowski (21B)
August 25, 2017 – Alexandria, MN… Tim Miller, the conservative candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District has announced the endorsement of State Representative Steve Drazkowski (21B).
Representative Drazkowski shared the following thoughts about his endorsement of Miller for the MN-07 race: “I am pleased to endorse and support my colleague, Tim Miller, in the race for Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District. Tim’s focus to put people ahead of the special interests, along with his authentic conservative approach, changed the trajectory of House District 17A, a seat he won twice - after many years of DFL control. I’m certain Tim’s people-focused, conservative message will also be the key for Republicans to finally win our Seventh Congressional District seat in 2018. I look forward to campaigning with my good friend, Tim Miller, and helping to elect a fresh, conservative voice for this critical seat in Congress.”
In response to receiving the endorsement and support of Representative Drazkowski, Miller said: “It’s incredibly humbling to have the support of Representative Drazkowski, along with several other conservative colleagues from the state legislature. I’m proud to serve alongside Representative Drazkowski, who has stood up unabashedly for our shared greater Minnesota values, like working tirelessly to put a stop to runaway spending, and standing in defense of family values and innocent life. I’m very honored to have the support of Representative Drazkowski, and look forward to working with him as we continue growing our list of conservative endorsements.”
First elected to the Minnesota House in 2007 special election, Steve Drazkowski represents District 21B, serving constituents from Dodge, Goodhue, Wabasha and Winona counties. Representative Drazkowski is the Chair of the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Committee, and also serves on the Taxes, Transportation Finance and Ways and Means committees. Drazkowski is an avid outdoorsman, and a member of the NRA and the Zumbro Falls Sportsmen’s Club. Representative Drazkowski and his wife Laura are the proud parents of one daughter, and attend the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa, MN.
Tim Miller is a U.S. Army Veteran, small business owner and Member of the MN House of Representatives. As Vice Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, Tim successfully led efforts to roll back burdensome state regulations that have gotten in the way of agribusiness. Notably, he stood up against legislation backed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency that would have strapped devastating regulatory restraints on the sugar beet and ethanol industries. Miller was the chief author of the Rural Finance Authority bill that received unanimous bipartisan support and was signed into law by Governor Dayton in February, 2017. He lives with his wife Cherie and their family in the town of Prinsburg, in Kandiyohi County. Tim and Cherie have been blessed with a blended family of seven children and four grandchildren.
Representative Steve Drazkowski joins a growing team of leaders that are supporting Tim Miller in the race for Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District, including the public endorsements of Finance Chairman Howard Root, Representative Glenn and Emily Gruenhagen, former MN-07 Chairwoman and Lac Qui Parle Chair Judie Rosendahl, Representative Kathy Lohmer, Senator Andrew Lang, Representative John Poston, Representative Steve Green and conservative activist Marjorie Holsten.
