Tim Miller Endorsed by Grassroots Activist Marjorie Holsten
August 22, 2017 – Alexandria, MN… Tim Miller, the conservative candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District has announced the endorsement of leading grassroots activist Marjorie Holsten. Holsten will join the Miller campaign in the volunteer capacity of Grassroots Director.
Marjorie Holsten shared the following quote about her endorsement for Miller in the race for MN-07: “I support Tim Miller for Congress because he is exactly the kind of person we need in Washington. Tim understands the issues and has demonstrated an ability to stand up to fierce opposition and do what is right. Tim works extremely hard and is going to run an effective and successful campaign in a huge district. I am thrilled to be a part of Tim's team.”

Marjorie Holsten is a longtime conservative activist throughout Minnesota politics. She has volunteered on many local, state, and federal campaigns. Marjorie has held leadership positions including serving as the Chairwoman of Senate District 34, Chairwoman of the 4th Judicial District Republicans, member of the 3rd Congressional District Executive Committee, and in senior leadership roles for a host of candidates. A regular delegate to the MNGOP State Convention, Marjorie was a national delegate to the Republican National Convention in 2016. Founder of “12PACK” – Politically Active Conservative Kids Campaigning in 2012, Holsten led an effort in which hundreds of young activists lit-dropped 33,000 homes and made over 40,000 phone calls, and “10PACK” – Politically Active Conservative Kids Campaigning in 2010, in which hundreds of young people lit-dropped 50,000 homes and made over 30,000 phone calls. Marjorie is also a Constitutional Law attorney and has spoken on the Constitution to groups all over the state of Minnesota.
Tim Miller is a U.S. Army Veteran, small business owner and Member of the MN House of Representatives. As Vice Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, Tim successfully led efforts to roll back burdensome state regulations that have gotten in the way of agribusiness. Notably, he stood up against legislation backed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency that have resulted in devastating regulatory restraints on the sugar beet and ethanol industries. Miller was the chief author of the Rural Finance Authority bill that received unanimous bipartisan support and was signed into law by Governor Dayton in February, 2017. He lives with his wife Cherie and their family in the town of Prinsburg in Kandiyohi County. Tim and Cherie have been blessed with a blended family of seven children and four grandchildren.
