Tim Miller (R-MN-07) Endorsed by Minnesota State Representative Kathy Lohmer (District 39B)

July 20, 2017 – Alexandria, MN…  Tim Miller, the conservative candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District has announced the endorsement of Representative Kathy Lohmer (District 39B).

Representative Lohmer issued the following comments about her endorsement for Miller in the race for MN-07: "I am pleased to endorse and fully support my friend Tim Miller for Congress in Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District.  Tim is a steadfast fighter for both life and the conservative values so many of us share throughout Minnesota.  He’ll be a tremendous advocate for our hardworking families and all Minnesotans in Congress, and I look forward to working with Tim to help him win this election.  Our state desperately needs representatives in Washington who are principled leaders.  I have served with Tim and he has proven to be just that- a principled leader.”

In response to Representative Lohmer’s endorsement, Miller said the following: “It’s an honor to have the support of my friend and colleague, Representative Kathy Lohmer. Representative Lohmer is social conservative leader in the state House and an leading light of grassroots conservatives statewide.  She embodies many of the true, conservative values so many of us hold dear in rural Minnesota.  From protecting innocent life to supporting the full spectrum of laws honoring family-centered values.  I am deeply grateful for Representative Lohmer’s endorsement and the boost this gives to our team as we continue to build out our aggressive, grassroots program.”

Kathy Lohmer was first elected to the Minnesota State House in 2010, representing District 39B which includes portions of Washington County.  Lohmer serves on the Health and Human Services Finance and Reform Committees, the Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance Committee, along with the Subcommittee on Aging and Long-Term Care.   Lohmer and her husband have four children, three daughters-in-law along with three grandchildren.  A founder of a homeschool cooperative, Lohmer is a Blue Star Mom and has founded support groups for the Spina Bifida Association.  

Tim Miller is a U.S. Army Veteran, small business owner and Member of the MN House of Representatives.  As Vice Chair of the Agriculture Finance Committee, Tim successfully led efforts to roll back burdensome state regulations that have gotten in the way of agribusiness. Notably, he stood up against legislation backed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency that have resulted in devastating regulatory restraints on the sugar beet and ethanol industries.  Miller was the chief author of the Rural Finance Authority bill that received unanimous bipartisan support and was signed into law by Governor Dayton in February, 2017.  He lives with his wife Cherie and their family in the town of Prinsburg in Kandiyohi County.  Tim and Cherie have been blessed with a blended family of seven children and four grandchildren.
